Welcoming RaeLynn to the AWAL Family

Share

Platinum recording artist RaeLynn has inked a worldwide recording deal with Round Here Records – the newly-formed label created by trailblazing Florida Georgia Line superstars Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard – and AWAL, Kobalt’s recording company, as announced today. The AWAL partnership offers RaeLynn a full range of services including marketing, campaign coordination, A&R, radio, and global distribution.

AWAL North American President, Ron Cerrito said of the deal, “RaeLynn embodies all of the attributes we look for in an artist. By consistently building a strong fanbase and maintaining a clear vision of who she is as an artist, she has joined a new class of country artists. The AWAL, Round Here Records and RaeLynn partnership allows them to tap into our team’s expertise ranging from product management and radio promotion to digital and creative marketing. Sarah DeMarco and Kyle Avenarius have been on the front lines with the Round Here Records team, and we are proud to be part of launching the next chapter in RaeLynn’s career as an independent artist.”

“Signing to Round Here Records was an easy decision and I knew in my heart this was the right home for my music,” says RaeLynn. “I’ve known Tyler and BK for many years, and have always admired their electricity together as a team and as strong businessmen. They bring such incredible experience and knowledge of this business. To have artists like them – who are innovative and slaying the game at the helm of the label – adds something so unique and powerful. And alongside the AWAL team, this new platform gives me the support, and also the freedom, to build my brand in a unique way that we all envision. Can’t wait for this new chapter to begin!”

And, it’s all happening today as RaeLynn releases brand-new song “Bra Off,” in celebration of her new label home. “Breaking up with you was like taking my bra off,” she sings, “feeling free and loose like this T-shirt I got on,” before hilariously comparing casting off an ex to shedding a “pink, lacy, suffocating” bra. RaeLynn knew while writing the song with Josh Kerr and Emily Weisband that it was special. “This is what girls want to hear,” she says. “As a girl, this is what I want to hear. I grew up in a small town of Baytown, Texas. And I’ve always said, ‘If it ain’t Baytown, I don’t want to cut it.’ It has to have that Baytown flavor. I grew up a church kid, but I like to cuss, too. And I want all those flavors in the music because that is me, and it’s my fans, too.” Working alongside producer Corey Crowder, her forthcoming EP brims with personality and humor, and is expected for release early 2020.

“Working with Round Here Records has brought an inspiring energy,” shares Big Enterprises President/Manager, Kerry Hansen. “Tyler and Brian are not afraid to take risks or break the mold, as they’ve done in their own careers, to help artists succeed. Their belief in RaeLynn and unique perspective on our industry truly propelled the launch of this brand new chapter and we’re excited to release music. Sharing our same vision, AWAL was the perfect global partner and we couldn’t be happier to have them on board team RaeLynn.”
