We’re excited to announce a year long partnership with The Other Nashville Society (TONS), a community of non-country music industry professionals and artists. Our aim is to offer events and initiatives throughout the year to educate and connect creators in Nashville, as well as grow the TONS community.
TONS was started in 2017 to support the creators and industry professionals in Nashville that fall outside the country music genre, and to create an environment for connections and opportunities within that community. Nashville’s significance to country music is well-known, but as the city has grown in recent years, more artists, managers, and companies from the wider music business have set up shop in Music City as well. TONS’ carefully curated and hand-selected membership caters to this group and includes many of the city’s most successful and influential creators and industry professionals.
Our CEO, Lonny Olinick, commented, “Nashville is one of the most diverse and vibrant music communities out there and we see this partnership as an opportunity for AWAL to discover, develop, and launch global artists. AWAL and TONS are aligned in our ultimate goal of bringing artists together and helping them grow their careers. We look forward to all that we will accomplish together this year.”
Josh Collum, Co-founder & Partner of TONS added, “This is more than just a sponsorship for us. This is a deep, strategic partnership. We believe in what AWAL is doing, and we feel like our membership and our city needs to get to know them better. We’re already working on some really cool things we can do together, and you’ll see those roll out throughout 2019.”
To kick off the partnership, we’re hosting an event at Analog in Nashville this month for TONS members to hear directly from our CEO, Lonny Olinick, Ron Cerrito, AWAL President, North America and AWAL artist, VÉRITÉ. And there’s much more to come throughout the year. Stay tuned.
