We're happy to announce an exclusive worldwide recording deal with UK-based independent label, B-Unique. The worldwide deal will leverage AWAL and its vast digital and traditional distribution and marketing expertise to further maximize the opportunities and promotion of B-Unique’s artist roster.

Formed in 2001 by successful major-label A&R executives, Mark Lewis and Martin Toher, B-unique is a small independent company built on the ability of the team to find and work with incredibly talented artists. B-Unique has worked with artists such as James Bay, Kodaline, John Newman, Kaiser Chiefs and Johnny Mcdaid (Snow Patrol) among others. The company has been involved in sales of over 100 million albums, 20 billion streams and countless number-one singles across publishing and records.

AWAL, CEO, Lonny Olinick, said of the deal, “As we continue to break and grow artists globally, we couldn’t be more proud to partner with B-Unique. Mark and Martin are truly some of the most well-respected music executives and are known in the industry for their storied history for representing and breaking the best in independent music. They are the perfect partner as we look to provide the best services to independent artists and labels globally.”

AWAL, with local offices around the world, is at the forefront of technology and artist empowerment across the industry working with a collection of the most well-known independent artists globally, including Lauv, Rex Orange County, Tom Misch, R3HAB, deadmau5, Madison Beer, The Wombats, Bruno Major, and more. Over the last year, AWAL has landed a #2 US radio hit, charted four records in the UK Top 10, has 5 songs currently on the playlist at Radio 1 (in UK) and generated billions upon billions of streams for its artists.

B-Unique co-founder, Mark Lewis, added, “We have a phenomenal long standing relationship with Kobalt going all the way back to both of our beginnings. This partnership is a continuation of their flexible and dynamic approach to creators and our complete trust in Kobalt and AWAL. Through conversations with Lonny we realised we had shared ambitions for masters and we look forward to releasing some great music. Patrick Martin and Liimo are the first two artists signed through this alliance and we couldn’t be more excited about their huge potential.”
