So when we heard BBC Music Introducing was putting together an event just for independent artists, we knew we had to be a part of it. That’s why we’re excited to share that we’ll be teaming up with BBC Music to shape one of the biggest events of the year for independent artists — Amplify.
Amplify actually marks the 10th anniversary of BBC Music Introducing, a BBC Music brand that has been supporting unsigned, undiscovered and under the radar music, propelling emerging UK artists onto the national stage through the BBC network. For nearly a decade now, BBC Introducing has played a hand in helping dozens of artists at the very start of their career, some of whom today are household names such as: Florence and The Machine, The 1975, James Bay and more.
So, whether you’re an established artist, or just starting out, this is an event you don’t want to miss! Here are just a few of the awesome things you’ll find at this year’s BBC Amplify:
- On stage interviews with some of today’s top artists sharing their own stories — how they made it and what they’ve learned along the way. Some artists announced so far include Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes, Ray BLK, The Libertines, Monki, Blossoms, and more.
- Panels and presentations from top industry leaders covering a variety of topics from achieving streaming success, to writing hit records, to finding online marketing success and more.
- Networking and mentoring opportunities with top industry experts, veteran artists managers, and even success artists themselves.
- Performances by some of the finest up and coming talent the UK has to offer, with the inclusion of fun ‘open mic’ sessions, too.
