AWAL Signs Global Deal With Joesef

Share

We’re excited to announce a global deal with Joesef. AWAL will provide Joesef and his team a full range of services, including global marketing, promotion, campaign management, synchronization, global distribution, and more.

“Having worked so closely with Joesef and his team for more than a year, we are now thrilled to be partnering on his debut album,” said AWAL President, Paul Hitchman. “Joesef is a special talent and we are hugely ambitious for what he can achieve not just in the UK but around the world. AWAL has always been a proven platform for the most exciting new artists in the business to break through, and now we are showing how we can consistently break artists on a global scale to creative and commercial success.”

Said Joesef, “I’ve been working with the team at AWAL for just over a year now. I’m quite protective when it comes to my work but I’ve trusted them wholeheartedly with each decision we’ve made together. It’s pretty strange going from working in a pub last year to signing a record deal and my heads still spinning a bit, but i’m fucking buzzing to be able to work with a team who understands what’s important to me, and all while still owning my own rights.  I count my life in albums and I can’t wait for the day I get to release my own together with the family at AWAL and the Mañana Music Management bois. Movin’ on up, here we fucking go.”

Joesef’s work in the last year culminated in his inclusion of the BBC Sound Poll in January, after sharing his soulful, sultry sounds with singles ‘Don’t Give In’, ‘Loverboy’, ‘Limbo’ and debut EP Play Me Something Nice. The EP & following singles have been supported by the likes of Clash, i-D, and Vogue, as well as BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, BBC 1Xtra, and Colors.

Added Senior Director, A&R, Will Hunt, “Joesef has had to adapt from being discovered in a bar by his manager to selling thousands of tickets in his home town in a year. He’s a uniquely talented songwriter and producer who is working towards what will be a special debut record. We’re all so excited to be going on the journey with him.”

Joesef will be back on the road this December to complete the European leg of his tour following sold out dates earlier this year. To learn more about Joesef, visit his website.
