Artist: in most cases, it's as easy as this:

1. Download the agreement below. It is available in English and French. The important bit is only one page long with no lawyer speak. Just make sure you understand that you must have the rights to what you send to us. Sign it, fill in the METADATA sheet together with the details of whom should be paid and where, bank details etc..
2. Send the contract and the CD to our Sheffield office.
3. We will encode and deliver as soon as is possible, usually within days. The digital stores have their own rules and mysteries, so please allow plenty of lead time. A month is good prior to release.
4. We will account to you for sales quarterly within 30 days of AWAL receiving the monies from the stores. For example, iTunes has 7 territories around the world and they all account differently for the SAME period, almost a month apart. We have to wait until the funds arrive in our account so as to know for sure what the exchange rate is into GB £.
5. We deduct our 15% and send you the rest either by good old fashioned cheque or bank transfer.
6. We will advise you as if songwriters mechanical royalties have been deducted at source.

Please note that songwriter MECHANICALS are the rsponsibilty of the LABEL unless advised otherwise on your statement. Some digital stores, in some territories, pay these directly under a blanket agreement - some do not. Please check your statements.
